Good morning all, from up here in Canada. I just joined the forum, and thought I should say hello. I've had my MKIV now for a few years, and have just started the build, again.
I'm now as far as 50% aluminum panel installation, and am currently working on the rear T-Bird type IRS.

My build is going to be a coyote with the T-Bird type IRS. I have a question, and I hope someone can help me on this one. I installed the rear diff, and upper, and lower control arms on the rear. I have also pressed in new bearings, and hubs for the IRS knuckles. The control arms are from Whitby. So now after having everything mounted in position, I noticed the axles from FFR are too long. I then measured from each face of the hub, and I measure about 54". I think it should be around 59" or so. Is it possible Whitby sent me the pin drive control arms by mistake? The packing slips say standard width rear IRS. Thats all I can think of. Am I missing something or doing something incorrect. I have the control arms maxed out as far as they'll go, and it's still several inches to narrow.

I would suggest reaching out to one of the Master Builders listed below:

Jeff Kleiner
Mike Everson
Gordon Levy

These fellows know their stuff.
