So, how far off is an 86' mustang from the 87-93 that FFR calls out for? I have a close friend willing to part with his GT for cheap. I know the 302 and T-5 aren't an issue, but what about the other goodies?
Thanks
Robert

Everything should work, the newer cars had better mechanicals, but I'm pretty sure everything should work......HTH.....STeven

The front end is different, can't use the spindles or brakes. Motor is NOT normal EFI but is not bad if you plan to carb. Double check the rear end, it may be a 7.5. The pedal box, e brake, and most stuff can work but most of it will need to be altered. Unless it is really cheap stick with the 87 to 93, We use the 89 to 92 as we have found them to be the best for the donro build concept. HTH, Richard.

I have a friend here with a 89 gt that if you get it out of his yard you can have it.Its a 5.0 with the GT 40 package on motor I was going to take it for my build but bought a Anniversary car instead.

Too bad I live in Texas, or I would take you up on that one! Sounds like a great opportunity for someone.

The 89 to 93 cars are so cheap now, especially when they aren't in perfect condition that I recommend you pass on anything else. Or you could pay a little extra and get everything you need from a junk yard. The advantage to a used car is you can see and hear it run before you dismantle it.
