Just received my center section and would like to POR15 it. Would like to prop up on some wood blocks like Edwardb has in his build thread, but mine did not come with any bolts. Anyone know what size and length these are? I saw a couple of threads around it, but still unsure of the size. Thanks.

For future reference in the event anyone needs these, the Ford part numbers for these bolts are W717748-S439 (Carrier Mount Bolts - Front) and W716983-S439 (Damper Bolts - Rear). I can't find a length or size on these anywhere when cross referencing the parts, but will swing by a Ford dealer tomorrow and see if I can't pick some up and I'll post the sizes.

If you ordered the car with IRS option, there should be bolts, even if you didnt buy the Center section from Ffr. The bolts are metric. I think 14mm.

Bought the center section from an independent dealer and came without bolts. But I think you are right...14mm x 20 on all four ears. Just don't know the length.

The bolts for the IRS center section are in the kit with all the rest of the IRS parts. I could dig around in my records and probably find the sizes. But why buy parts now that will be in your kit? Those are pretty special (metric, flange head, etc.) and are the proper length for the Factory Five chassis mounts which are different than the Ford mounts. Specifically the front ones where you drill them out per the FF IRS instructions. So by definition the Ford parts aren't going to be useful later for the front. And I can't imagine they're cheap. For purposes of holding the center section while cleaning, painting, etc. you could use just about anything that fits into the holes and let gravity work for you. As long as you're not manhandling it, not going to hurt anything.

You only use the Ford bolts in the two rear diff mounts. They thread into the aluminum ear so need to be the correct thread. All the other bolts go through plastic and steel sleeves. I actually changed most of mine to 5/8 inch because I would rather keep the car all fractional. 5/8 is only .004" form 16mm.

My 2015 IRS parts list FFR#15962 M14-2.0 x100mm flange head bolts 2 ea
FFR#14515 M16 x 2.0mm deformed thread, flanged locknut 4 ea
FFR#15963 M16-2.0 x 130mm flange head bolt 2 ea
I got the complete kit and these parts were in box 11Z. Maybe call FFR and have them send them to you.
Hope this helps.

Thanks guys! Didn't realize that the IRS kit came with the center section bolts. I wasn't really concerned with the front ones, but the rear ones thread so wanted to get the right size so the weight doesn't bugger up the threads. Sounds like a good idea on the metric to SAE swap Craig. I might do that. And you were right Edwardb....this center section is one stout piece of machinery!
