So I put my steering arms on with the taper going the wrong way, to fix them I need to pop the lower ball joint out of the spindle with out wrecking the boot. Bought the large cloth spin shaped tool from Harbor Freight which looked like just the the fix but it does no open wide enough for my application. Any ideas out there. Help!!
You might thread the nut 3/4 of the way on and use a rubber mallet or a regular hammer with a piece of wood on the nut, just dont get carried away with force.

Go ahead and trash the boot; you've got to get the ball joint out of that spindle.
Replace the trashed boot with Energy Suspension 13009s. You may have to buy a set such as http://www.energysuspensionparts.com/5.13102 to get the two boots you need.
If you end up trashing the ball joints as well, consider upgrading to Howe Racing 22320S ball joints. Several well respected builders swear by them (though they are significantly more expensive than the ones you'd be replacing).

I've got a couple of Jaw Type Pullers that worked on my old Vette and have used them on more than a few occasion. (1995 C-4 Daily Driver)

You can get them at any Auto Parts Store. Most do the loaner tool deal.

I did the same and I just pulled the hub off the spindle and let me take the bolts out of the arms and swap them around. Took 45 minutes to pull everything, move them around and then re lock tight all the caliper bolts, etc. I avoided removing the lower ball joint like the plague!
