Gauges for an LS3 Install

I'm just curious. Has anyone used the Painless LS Gauge Controller instead of adding individual sending units in addition to the existing GM ones on their LS3 install? Pros vs. Cons.

I used the gauge cluster from FFR made by Speed hut it uses the two wire CAN to the engine ECU, very cool has GPS speedometer
