MK1 Indiana

I bought an MK1 about 4 years ago from a used car dealer. It was in pretty bad shape mechanically. It is built on a 1993 HO Mustang 5.0. From my research, I learned this car was originally titled in California, then moved to Colorado. I found it under a tarp on a used car lot in Charleston, SC.
I had the engine professionally refreshed by a good shop here in Indiana. It runs strong. Since my wife wanted to drive it, I installed power steering and power brakes. I replaced all of the wiring using a Factory Five wiring harness. The hood is brand new. New 5 point seat belts. It has a T5 transmission and 8.8" rear end. I had the side pipes and headers blasted and ceramic coated. It has the cats on it now - but they are non functional - My wife complained the car was too loud - so they are acting as mufflers. I fabricated straight pipes to replace them - and those come with the car. I also installed silencer inserts into the side pipes. It actually is pleasant to drive with the current noise level. It is easy to drive one handed at high speeds due to the power steering.
It has about 2,600 miles on it since engine rebuild. It is titled in Indiana.
There is a tag under the hood that states it was built by Shelby American, Inc. I have not been able to verify if this is for real, since at the time this kit was produced FFR did not put serial numbers on the chassis. So apparently there is no way to trace the original buyer of this kit. However, I was able to determine that in 1993, over 75 Mustang HO's were sold to Shelby American, and the SSN on the engine and ECM seems to match one of those cars. So, who knows if Carrol Shelby actually touched this car!? Maybe.
This car looks good, but it is a driver - so there are a few rock chips in the paint, and some darkening around the side pipes. I would say that it was repainted at some time in its life - because the paint looks better than it should for the age of the car. The tires are near the end of their life.
The problem is - my wife is scared to drive it and is not very fond of riding in it. So she bought a Miata! So - she is telling me I need to find a new home for it.
I have a little over $32,000 in her so far. If I can come anywhere close to recovering my cost I would be really happy.
