When cold fires up great, run it until it gets warm/hot, shut it off and after sitting a several minutes will not start without cranking quit a bit. Almost sounds like its flooded? 351 W with a QuickFuel 750 cfm

Sounds like you have some percolation from heat. I would first check the fuel level in the bowls. If that is right, check your fuel line location in relation to heat. Last, I would look at insulating the carb from manifold heat. There are numerous sources and methods for this, but you will need to watch hood clearance.
The hard starting is the result of the spilled gas flooding the engine. For this, you do not need to pump the gas pedal. Not touching it, might be OK, but if flooding is excessive, pedal to the floor, while cranking and naturally let off when it fires up. Let me know what you find.

On any warm re-start within 20 minutes of shut off it should light right off without ever touching the gas. Beyond that if the engine has started to cool a bit, a small shot of gas BEFORE cranking usually results in a prompt start. With a carb it's largely technique. You just have to learn what works.
