Hi guys, looking for some feedback regarding gauges.

I am doing a base kit donor build from a 2002 with as much of the donor parts as possible. I was wondering if anyone had done the stock gauge conversion from the donor, and any feedback regarding the difficulty of that versus wiring the FFR gauges.

I reasoned that the stock gauges are free, already calibrated, and wired. I have not seen a picture of what they looked like, or much regarding the difficulty of doing it either way.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I seen some donor gauges on a FFR roadster last year at the Texas Cobra Club spring meet and I was not impressed with them. I found some AutoMeter gauges on this forum and was able to get them for a great price so I went that route. Plus if you had a gauge quit working it would be easier to replace.

I'm a supporter of the donor concept and not spending money simply because "if it costs more it has to be better" but this is one area where the extra $$ is well spent.

And the donor doesn't have a cool reverse speedo!
