I created an account on Instagram to document my Roadster build (Delivered 3-29-18). Mostly just b/c its a convenient way to keep friends and family updated. I use this forum a lot (as well as others) to get info so if anyone from here wants to follow along just for fun or to provide feedback the account name is: my_cobra_build.

Of course do what you want. But I have multiple family and friends watching my builds documented here on the forum. They don't need an ID since they're not posting. Just the link.

I think everyone who has built a Roadster in the past couple years has followed your build on here. For me IG is just quick and easy. Maybe one day I will get around to having a build thread on here but for now it works for me. Plus there is zero chance I get my mom on the forum.
