Building a Type 65R and want to use a removable/quick-release steering wheel for easier entry and exit. Has anyone installed one or have some they like or dislike?

I prefer the spring loaded collar type and there are several out there to choose from. The last one I purchased was from Joe's Racing Products.

I'm running a piece that I got from Jegs that is SFI approved; however, I also change the steering wheel because of the bolt pattern.

You can see how it looks in the attached video:

Also, I used a piece of 3/4" PVC pipe (Painted Black) as a spacer between the bearing and the steering hub spline.

I'll check the Jegs setup out. Thanks for the pointer.

Shade Tree-

I don't think you can go wrong with the Breeze piece! Proven product for these cars, coupled with great support from Mark.

My $.02.

Steve

i bought one from allstar racing. its so loose its a joke I hate it it was like 50$.

i bought another from ebay for 23$ looks like a sparco knock off. its VERY TIGHT it bolts right to the gtm wheel bolt pattern which is nice for me since im using that one. you will need to be a little creative to bolt the other end to the car. i welded min on there. very happy with it even if it was 100$
