I've attached the cables to the calipers and run the cables to find out that they are about 18" longer than where they hook up to the E Brake mechanism.
Any thoughts? is this a common issue?
Did you mount the cable housings in the correct holes? There are some up high above the drive shaft which are for the newt disc brake setup, there is another spot close to the parking brake handle which is for some donor brake/cable set up

It also depends on which brakes and brake cables you have. Complete kit with FFR upgrade brakes? Wilwoods?
