Took it apart, cleaned it out, no cuts in oring. Put back together. Still leaks bad. Tried tightening ring more, going past the divits for the little dimples on the ring, still leaks.

Any advice before I find me some fuel safe sealsstic and glue that piece of junk in?

Maybe take some pics? Are you using square or ring or round? I wonder if the sealing surface is warped due to welding.

You might have metal to metal contact which is preventing the seal from being compressed properly. Make sure the inner area of the mount is not sticking up too far, you can bend it down with pliers.

I tried about 20 times for both the sender and pickup making sure that the tabs were lined up. I originally had the square o-rings, and then FFR sent me the newer round version of the o-rings, that didn't work either. They then suggested putting some fuel safe gasket sealer on it. I used some "Permatex 85420 Permashield Fuel Resistant Gasket Dressing" 2 nights ago on both sides and it seems to have sealed it. I have everything sealed off and am pressure testing it by blowing in the fuel pick up tube and then listening for a leak and pouring soapy water on the seals.

I haven't put gas in it yet to test it, that will come in the next week. I hope it works.

I have the round orings.

It’s quite possible the center is hitting. I’ll bend it down and try again left warm day I can test it (easier to dry water out after test when sun can help!). Thanks guys. Will update later.
