Here's a picture of Ed Boothman's Spec racer ready for the Grassroots Ultimate Track Car Challenge at VIR!

This car was run at the 25 hours of Thunder Hill several times and will be driven by John George this weekend for the shoot out. Jim Schneck will also be testing his Spec Racer with some of the new upgrades on his car for the new Challenge series. Aero mods will not be part of the new series, but they look pretty cool on Ed's car!

The car looked good out there, despite Fuel pick up issues.

For those who missed it, the #85 of Ed Boothman ran a 2:05 even with John George Driving. A very good showing for the UTCC.

Nice driving. That motor sounds nice and healthy.

Seems like the aero bits and of course a little HP are giving this car 8 mph top speed over the average challenge car. Is that about right? Suspension also neems a bit more sorted.

Looking fwd to some of these new features in the improved challenge car.
