Getting a wild hair to run Billboard Goodyears on my new build. First question, what's the largest wheel and offset that I can/need to run with these tires ( I was hoping 17" and running the FFR kit wheels), and what is the downside, if any, to running these tires?

Well, true Billboards are all 15" so 17" FFR wheels are out. The tires are not DOT legal which may get flagged on inspection in some states. They are bias ply which means that they flat spot when parked and by many reports "tramline" excessively following road imperfections.

Looks like the largest sizes you can buy are 26.5x8-15 for the front and 26.5x10.5-15 for the rear. Hmm...Love the look but will have to think about it. I don't have to worry about car inspections, so no big deal there. I saw talk of stencils for 'normal' tires. Anyone tried that and is it worth a hoot?

Anyone used these on larger wheels/tires to get the look?

Check WarEagleScott’s build thread. His are orange, but has some (different brand if I recall) and says they are quality

If you want the look of 15s here is an option
http://www.mickeythompsontires.com/street-tires/sportsman-s-r
26x10-15 front and 26x12-15 rear.
BUT- I don't think you can get 15s on the 2015 IRS w/ the donor brakes. Rotors are way too large.

Thanks Craig. Didn't know that about the IRS, so the 15's are out. I saw Sportsmans, which I had about the same size raised lettering on my Camaro, but I'd like the lettering to be larger

i have billboards on my MKIII.

they look the part. But they drive like chit. They car is basically all over the lane especially with ruts.
Now, i have power steering mustang rack, so im wondering if a manual rack would be a little less "active" in the steering through the road ruts.

either way, it looks too good to pull themfor the amount of time i use them.
Like steering a boat however. always correcting the steering wheel.

wish they made replicas in radial.

Go Avon or MT’s in 15” and stick white lettering on them.

Well, there's the fun police in action!.

I agree. They look great. But there is a lot of downside.
I am also not a fan of cross-branding tires. There's my fun police move.
