This '33 roadster is a fine example of craftsmanship.

I've seen that car at several shows. It's even more beautiful in person, and the workmanship and custom features are way over the top.

With the competition level of today you can see what it takes to assemble an automobile of this magnitude and truly appreciate the craftsmanship that it embodies

A REALLY FAT CHECKING ACCOUNT doesn't hurt either!!

Don't get me wrong, I do appreciated the incredible craftsmanship it takes to build a car of this level... but it's USELESS - It will never see any road miles.

I saw this in person at the Detroit Autorama last year, and was in the awards ceremony when it was announced as the Ridler winner. No surprise. It stood out among the eight finalists. Absolutely unbelievable in every way. Builds of this type are in a whole other world than your typical custom builds. Multi-million dollar budgets are the norm. Spend several years in a high end custom shop (Chip Foose, et al.) with the meter running, the high end parts, chrome plating, months painting and polishing, etc. not hard to understand. Shoot, the displays alone I'm sure cost way more than our typical builds. These are typically lifetime dream builds by people with more money than most of us. Not made for driving. Pretty obvious when they roll them off the trailer with saran wrap around the tires. Have to be appreciated as automotive art.
