Looks really great Mike. The clean no-stripe, no-scoop, no-sticker look is what I have in mind for mine as well. The silver fits the look and body lines very well. I assume you have the FF side pipes ceramic coated? They look nice, although I'm guessing they're crazy loud. Still undecided about what I'm going to do with that.

Very impressive. I have a MkIV in similar colour (Viper Silver with a ton of pearl - Dodge colour). Do you mind? What did you go with?

Its a Mercedes silver.
Edward. It is incredibly loud. You might want to consider doing something about sooner than later.
Bob Boig is making quitter pipes for these.

Beautiful car Mike... very well done sir. I love silver... Titanium silver has always been on the top of my color list for one of these.

Interior pics to come. Waiting to install the dash. I needed to send the ECU back to Ford. I will reinstall the dash once its back.

Very Nice & Thanks For Posting!

Silver simply gives that car an elegant look.

For those of you that have built previous gen coupes, I am only into this for 219 hours so far. Expecting less than 8 more to completely finish.
FFR really made these so much easier to build.

Mike you mentioned the noise of the pipes. Could you possibly post a video?

Looks great! Interesting on the 219 hours. I am often asked how many hours it took me to build my car. I have no clue and wish I would have kept track. For comparison purposes to the coupe what is your average time on an MK4 build?

Mark 4 is 200 hours flat unless there are some major upgrades such as A/C

Glad to hear that. The gen 1 and Gen 2 were a lot of body work IMO.

219 hours?!?! I'm coming up on 11 years. The part that REALLY sucks is that I'm changing direction. I made the mistake 5 years ago of buying an e36 M3 and, last year, getting into autocross. Now I'd rather have a Challenge Roadster than the Coupe because it would fit in my camper and the Coupe is about 10" too long to fit. I was building my Coupe to be a fairly accurate replica of CSX2299 when it won GT at LeMans in 1964. Now I'd rather make it more competitive for autocross so it should have 17" wheels, standard IRS, and big brakes rather than 15" wheels, pin-drive width IRS, and little brakes. I also want to put an LS3 in it rather than the 302 with Weber IDFs. It would ALMOST be easier to just finish it quick and sell it rather than make all the changes for autocross and still not have it fit in my toy hauler camper. Decisions, decisions...

Mike-

Terrific job. I too like the silver; it's a great color for the coupe!

I a guessing that 219 hours does not include body work, correct? It's pretty impressive that you can do the MK IV or the new Gen 3 coupe in roughly 200 hours!

I look forward to seeing the interior pictures when you are done. Nice work Sir!

Steve

The 219 hours does include fitting the body but not body work and paint.

Thanks Mike.

Just to be certain you understand, I was NOT criticizing, but rather trying to add clarity. I am very impressed that you can do either the MK IV or the new Coupe in that time frame; especially to such a high level!

Great work!

Steve

The clean no-stripe, no-scoop, no-sticker look is what I have in mind for mine as well.

Yeah, me too. It's not common to find good pix of these cars without stripes! Thanks.

Speaking of no-scoop, I notice you do still have the scoops where rear quarter windows would go. I'm thinking of omitting those just because I don't care for how they look from ahead or behind the car. But, I don't really know what they do, either, or whether deletion would cause any problems.

Why no clear covers over the headlights? I've been looking at those two tiny yellow dots just forward of the headlights; I'm guessing that's parking lights and turn signals. I don't think they're particularly visible, especially from some directions, when there's no clear covers. With the clear covers, I'm guessing those lights make them glow so they're more visible.

The covers are on back order.

Awesome coupe! Wow, 219 and it looks that great, it took me that long to inventory my parts (j/k).
