Hi all,

I have been looking at building a Cobra kit for over ten years now. My ten year wedding anniversary has come and gone last year and one of the constants has been my desire to do this. My wife is aware but we have a kid, are trying to have another, and open our third restaurant so she is VERY practical. Anyway, we were driving along a road here that has several stop lights at not too distant intervals when I saw a Cobra in my rear view mirror. I have NEVER seen one in Jackson before, so I was thrilled. I turned to my wife and said "You know that Cobra I've wanted to build ever since we got married?" "Yes" she said. Then it pulled up next to us at the red light, "Well, that's what it looks like in person." She looked over and I asked the guy if he had built it or bought it. It was a Superformance that was purchased he told us, then the light turned green and away he went. We drove for about 30 seconds when my wife says kind of quietly, "Well...that is...a pretty car." We discussed it and she said yes and so I pulled the trigger! Can't wait to get my future kit, but paying the deposit has made it real. Looking forward to meeting up, discussing, building, and driving my "pretty car" soon.

Sounds familiar. I had been dreaming for years One day, she wanted to go to a craft fair. It was only a few mins away from a forum member, Sten. He said sure when I asked to stop by. On the way, she said we just can't afford it right now and you have so many other projects that you need to finish first. After we stopped and admired it or a few mins and continued on our way, she started asking questions like what color I was going to paint and would ours have this or that? That was enough for me but finished up all my info ished projects before ordering. Im driving to the factory next month to pick up my base kit. I guess all it actually took was for her to visualize herself in the car. Sten made that possible.

Good luck.

"Pretty car" is an understatement. They're damn sexy from every and all angles.

Thanks! HOPEFULLY we open in December. Maybe possibly perhaps by October but that is looking less likely. We are in recipe dev. stage now.

Yeah, we are like that. I know guys that have bought new cars as a surprise for their wives and such. Mine is WAY too practical for that. She's amazing.

Welcome and congrats. It took me three months to talk my wife into getting rid of the 67 Mustang fastback. Once I built it she came around and loved the car as much as I did. Roger

That's funny! Way to go!!

My wife's first question was "Does it have seat belts?"
