Wondering if the single adjustable Koni's that come with the kit are sufficient for street driving and occasional autocross with IRS. I'm a beginner autocrosser so any shock may seem amazing on a cobra...
I've read a lot of people upgrading to QA1's. FFR offers DA Koni's for $1800. Trying to keep costs in check.
Thanks

Standard red Koni's are good shocks. Will work fine for what you describe.

There are many things that are overkill in people’s builds but it comes down to personal choice. Although I have a bunch of miles on my MkIV, close to 500 HP power plant is overkill. The entire drive line is overkill, and big Wilwoods for stopping 2,300 pounds is overkill. But its fun as hell and it was my preference. So, the SA red Koni coil overs are more than adequate for what you plan to do with your car. The DAs? Well, more overkill. Especially if your car is seeing a lot of trailer time. Having said that, my next build plan includes the DA Konis. My preference.

I have the SA Koni's on my Mk 3.1 Roadster. How to I keep the back end from coming up so high when I go over hump in the road?
Thanks.

Slow down! Actually though when I changed from Bilsteins to the SA Konis when I was still using the FFR provided 350# rear springs the back felt a little bouncy in comparison. Stepping up the rebound adjustment one notch from softest helped.
