Is there a template for these vents or do you mount the windshield first and go from there?

Put a piece of tape across the w/s mounting holes. Another piece of tape3/4 in back from the crown of the rolled cockpit edge. That is now your target area. the closer to the tape marking the W/S the better. Now you need to see where you have room for vent and hose to fit that don't look too odd....sorry, every car is a bit diff...da Bat
