I was thinking about putting Cooper Cobra Tires on my Mk4 Roadster and wanted to hear what others experience might be.
I heard they may not have the best traction. They would be for street use.

Give me your thoughts?

I put them on my Roadster only because there simply ain't much choice in 15" these days. As for traction, no, they spun pretty well on my one 60 foot burnout!!! Kind of just kidding, I'm still not done so only have go-kart miles. But I did do the burnout.

I don't think good traction is one of the factors in 15". For me, I know this will never be a track tire or rim (Team III), so my plan is to buy an inexpensive set of 17" rims and have my choice from a wide array of tires just for track days, then back to the 15s for normal street cruising.

If I were buying today in 15", it would either be these or the Mickey Thompsons, but I would probably end up with the Coopers.

PS Incidentally, I put a set of Cooper Zeon LTs on my Dodge Ram 1500 about 25k ago and they are GREAT, love them.
