Hello,
I was wondering if you could tell me the differences between the American Autowire kit that came with the MK3 and the Ron Francis kit that comes with a MK4? Do you recommend one over the other? Any and all information would be greatly appriciated. Mny thanx.
Regards,
Andy

Hi Andy,
As far as products that we offer, the American Autowire harness was the predecessor to the Ron Francis harness, and the custom-built Ron Francis harness is a significant improvement over the more generic American Autowire. With the American Autowire harness, you'll need to do more cutting and splicing, while the Ron Francis harness is more of a plug-and-play type. You'll still need to do a little bit of splicing with things like the lights and gauges, since the dash harness is set up to accommodate more than one type of gauge set, but everything in the Ron Francis harness is located in the right place, labeled, pre-bound, and often already terminated in the proper connector. We use it on the Roadsters, Coupes, and '33 Hot Rods.
For anyone reading this who hasn't seen the Ron Francis harness, here's a link to it on our parts catalog:

Hope that helps!
