This is the driver side motor mount using a SBF... is it possible I could have my motor mounts reversed?

Trying to get my side pipes somewhat equal on both sides and can’t get the adjustment I think I should get?

That is correct for the drivers side.

How did you get that nut on. I am working on the '35 pickup an can't figure out how to tighten the bolt with the power steering frame bracket in the way. What am I missing?
Thanks, Ralphb

35 pickup has a much different frame from the roadster.

And it's still a PITA to get tight on the Roadster!

Had the same problem. I ended up grinding the frame mount slot a little on the DS. That allowed the engine to shift in the mounts and level out. Only took approx 3/16-1/4" on the bolt slot. Didn't grind on the second (pin) slot, it had enough clearance already.

Sorry, I thought he was working on the '33 Hot Rod. Should have checked my search results more carefully. Yes, roadster is a world of difference.

Try supporting the engine from the bottom. I used a piece of 2x6 on top of my floor jack under the oil pan. Then loosen the bolts that attach the motor mount to the engine. Loosen the motor mount to the frame nut. You should be able to move the mount down the slot in the frame by carefully prying on the mount and working the engine position with the jack. Please keep your fingers out of there. Once you get the mount as far down as you can on the frame tighten the nut. Lower the engine with the jack and tighten the motor mount bolts.
