Assisting in another build, the chassis was purchased with pin drive. Owner bought some Koni 14622 shocks from a member and doing research, they may be for a standard width IRS car. Anyone know if these will fit a pin drive setup with IRS?

Based on a quick search, those are too short. They were listed as having an extended length of 15.5". My rear IRS shocks are at least 2" longer. When I bought them I asked for 18" shocks. I don't know what the actual extended length is though...

Here's the FFR part you need:

The shocks for the pin-drive IRS should be 14623. They are 17.63" extended. The 14622 shock you have are for the standard width IRS and are only 15.15" extended.

Thanks guys. I think the owner will now decide if he still wants pin drive or change to standard. He thinks the pin drive will give him more dish in the rear than what he wants. If he decides to stay pin drive, someone's going to get a killer deal on these shocks.

I take it the same pin drive IRS shock will be the same for front IFS pin drive just as the standard is the same F/R.

I'll let FFR verify, but that's not true; You still use the shorter shock up front for pin drive.

The fronts do not change between standard and pin drive width. Only the rears are different. David is correct. You still use the 14622 shocks for the front.

Thanks again. Owner will now have to decide. Pin, no pin. Pin, no pin. Dish, deeper dish! Ah, decisions. Glad they're his. :)
