Question regarding hood hinge pistons

Needed to find out how to remove the pistons after they have been installed. Don't want to damage anything now that I'm finally making some progress. I saw that there is what appears to be a clip at the attachment points, but I don't want to force anything. If you know an easy way to remove the pistons I'd really appreciate the help. Thanks in advace.

Just put a flat head screw driver under those clips and pull it up a bit while you pull it off. Should be easy.
