View Full Version : Air/Oil Separator location

Hi Folks,

My intention is to incorporate and Air/Oil Separator into my PCV system but I am a bit squeezed on a mounting location. The one unoccupied space that I can easily mount the tank/drain is on the driver side F-Panel. My only concern in doing so would be the length of hose to accomplish this.

Ford stoked 331/FITECH with breather cap on the drivers valve cover and a Dual Flow M/E Wagner PCV valve on the passenger cover. Roughly 6 foot of hose would run from the PCV valve to the tank and 5 foot of hose from the tank back to FITECH. Would the length of hose I intend to do this cause ill effects in venting?

regards,

RickP

I just did this. See my build thread and the second to last post shows my setup. I used a Steeda separator and a 96 pcv valve in custom hand welded valve covers.

Thanks Brandon, I was looking over your thread just last night to see what you did. I got it all sorted out on my end. Ended up installing a Moroso unit on the drivers foot box side. Relatively short runs to the valve cover and FiTech.
