I'm looking for the best place to attach the fuel filter to the chassis. There is a cross brace on the tube where the manual recommends so it seems I need to place the filter before or after the cross brace. However, the supplied tubing with pre-fit fittings is either too long or too short. Placing it after the cross brace is over the IRS in the wheel well area so I'm leaning toward putting it before the cross brace, closer to the tank. It seems i'll need to cut the tubing shorter and reattach a fitting. What are your thoughts?

I have external fuel pump that came with my Fast ez-EFI and it suggests putting the pump low so it gets a gravity feed. Where would you suggest attaching the external pump?

Thanks, Mark

Mark, I recall seeing an interesting location from Mike's 289 sale on the rear of the frame rail, if that would work with the IRS...

Here is how I have mounted mine. So far...

It is as low as the lowest part of the tank and behind the pumpkin.

Since no one else said it I will. Unless theres something special about your fuel pump. use an intank one. So much quieter and no worries about gravity feeding. The supplied line with the FFR kit doesn't seem to work well with the IRS. If you go with an intank pump, mount he filter where you want and then cut the fittings off the plastic line and use EFI fuel hose to make your own.
