I will be building a Base kit MK4 using a 92 5.0 Mustang donor. I want to reuse the alt. and P/S pump, but not the A/C compressor. Do I have to get different brackets for the P/S pump? The PDF manual says to use non-A/C P/S brackets. Those are impossible to find in Florida. Everything here has A/C. Anyone have anything that they used to have the original P/S pump work from an A/C car? Thanks, TW

Someone makes an A/C delete kit that just replaces the A/C compressor. Google it to find one.

Jeg's, Summit Racing and Late Model Restoration all sell one.

Ford Racing A/C eliminator:

It does away with the massive combined A/C and P/S bracket and moves the pump inward toward the block which allows for steering shaft clearance. I used it way, way back when (found the date on the photo was 2006!) on my own car along with a home made alternator mount and run the belt in a big "V" configuration.

Eleven years, thousands of 6,000+ RPM floggings, no problems ;)
Good luck!

Had the donor Mustang delivered last night. Turns out it already had A/C delete installed. Thanks again to all that answered my question. TW

I think you can make that a lot less intrusive. looks like you could throw out that huge aluminum thing. Make up some spacers to use a longer version of the top bolt in the steel bracket and mount a pulley right onto it. I imagine Ford made it that way so it could replace the AC comp. and still use the same length belt but wow, that thing sticks out like a sore thumb.
