Getting very excited about building the 35 pick up ! So I started collecting things that I will need like:
The rear end with 3.55 gears
The wheels and tires
Intake manifold
Holly 4 barrel
and the list goes on
BUT I wanted to go fenderless in the rear and motorcycle fenders in the front but the needed to hug my 255 55r 18 tires so I am making them .Its my first attempt at doing this ,here are some progress pics!
Finished fender come soon !

Straight answer to your question is yes. Being a composites guy, I'd buy one of the many offerings on the market in metal or composites.

Isn't the fact that we want to build the hot rod the best part ? very easy to buy a set but I having lots of fun and I made them myself :)

Herb, great job on making your own custom parts to kit that is so new. I guess you are setting a tone to your build already, very custom. I'm not a fan of the rib on the middle of the finder. Flat would be cool, just my suggestion. Preplanning your kit is the way to go, makes for a smoother build.
Herb,
If you're like me, you'll probably change your mind several times on every aspect of your build where you have freedom to make it your own. Nothing wrong with that; it's what makes building these cars fun!

Paul I first made them with no rib but thought they needed something else, so I think they match the ribs along the body lines on the truck

Fender looks fantastic to me. Great job!
Any notions about custom door panels down the road for the P/U?
