Hey guys, is there any one in Grand Rapids that has the tools to do a alignment hanging around here that might be able to help me out. My body is at the shop and the rest of the car is done so I’m at the point where I would like to get my alignment set. With the body on the car I’m happy with a 4” front and 4.5” rear ride heights so I plan on setting the suspension to this with the body off and get the alignment done. I prefer to do it myself as I don’t trust to many shops and these cars have a lot more adjustments in the front then your normal tech is used to seeing. I have also heard that I may have to shorten the rear adjustment tubes to get the caster / camber right and I just don’t trust a shop to do a good clean job of this. P.s. I have beer ;) lol

Everything you need is in Lake Orion. Two hours away but if you're interested, let me know.

Edwardb, I might take you up on that offer. Plus I’m sure you know what to do if there ends up being an issue. I know there are a few local guys cruising the forums. So if I don’t get any responses I just may send you a pm and pack up the car for a visit.

A local friend, Rich Melcher at Ram Racing in Saranac, has a 4-wheel alignment system in his shop. Mustang chassis dyno too.
PM for more.

Thanks Jim. Sounds like I'm the one that needs to make the drive. :) Sounds like a sweet setup.

I’ll give you a shout tomorrow Jim. I wouldn’t mind doing a pull or two for a power plot after the alignment. In fact I’m curious to see the shape of the power curve and what the afr’s are. My dyno sheet from Craft starts at peak efficiency (torque) and goes to red line. So I’m missing all of the data below that where street cruising happens.

Let me know what you need. The shop is great, Rich is a machinist/fabricator/welder - very talented.
I've spent a lot of time on his dyno.
