WiFE?
I decided to put an big block FE in my car. Found the perfect candidate in Indy. Going to go up Wednesday and pick it up. On paper it should crank out about 550 FWHP. I'll dyno it when I'm done doing a few of my little tricks to it and get an exact number. Anybody intrested in a dual quad 306 thats almost new, complete from the Canton road race pan to the air cleaner, with all the accessories, headers, tuned and ready to drop in, with a T5 bolted to it? Perfect for a complete kit builder!

Wow Lex, your 306 doesn't even have dust on it yet and now you are upgrading to a FE??? You know that everyone will have engine envy. I just hope you don't go strutting around talking trash like "Mine is bigger than Yours". But, everyone knows you are a humble man and would not do such a thing. lol Just jerking your chain. Great find! We cannot wait to see pics. :)
Steve, I'm not going to do anything till this winter as far as the swap goes.

Lex,
When buying an engine out of Indy make sure that none of these names or addresses come up as having anything to do with it:
---Heartland Engine Builders
---Indy Mustang
---DRS Engines
---Jim Shafer
---Stan Solomon
---685 E. Murray St.
---3308 S. Emerson Ave.
Not sure of my Wednesday schedule yet but if you wanna' try to meet up for lunch or dinner or ??? shoot me a PM and I'll see if I can free up some time.
Cheers,
Jeff

Whatcha want for the 306?
Like I said it will probably be this winter but with the tranny and all somewhere between 4500 and 5000.

Nothing else like being able to say "yep - it's got a big block." My wife sure enjoys doing so when people ask if her '67 Camaro is really hers; yep, sure is, and it's true that there's no replacement for displacement.
