I had an aluminum flywheel on my 427 side-oiler, and that thing would wind up quickly, much more than a similar engine with a typical iron flywheel. Superior throttle response, IMO.

Hi Mike,

The M-6007-M50A Coyote engine is 435 Gross by FORD. What did you do to increase the power? Reason I ask we are about to install this engine into a club members MkIV kit in a few weeks. If you have added anything to the engine the guy who owns the kit might be looking to buy them.

Hi Kevin,
The engine we dynoed was a M-6007-M50 2014 & earlier Coyote. Fordrates the HP net at the rear tires. We dyno just the engine and measures almost exactly 10% driveline power difference.
The M-6007-M50A is 2015+ and is more powerful, but I haven't dynoed one yet.
