Hello Factory-Fiver's,

Has anyone built a 65 Coupe and not used the rear spoiler? If so, can you send me a few pics? I'd like to see what the lives of the Coupe look like without it.

Thanks so much,

Ray B

I have not seen one built without the spoiler on this forum yet. You could have someone photoshop it. Actually Vman is really good at it. You could PM him and see if he would be willing.

Car is not done obviously, but here is a 3/4 rear shot without the spoiler in place. Should give you a good idea.

Here are a couple of photos of my coupe in red primer and without the rear spoiler:

Personally I don't think the ffr body shape lends itself to a non spoiler look. The rear hatch does make it look better. The original coupes rear was higher and looked better without a spoiler but it was soon discovered it needed one. If you can find a copy of the coupe book you can see some shots of the coupe running without one.

Georgia, looking sweet in that red primer!!!!

Thanks Russ.....I agree with you about this body design really needing the rear spoiler.

I have not put the rear spoiler on yet as I really like the look without it. I am going to make a spoiler to the limits of the XP class just for the track. Rules say 10" tall and no wider than the body. It may not be pretty, but is meant to only be functional. Here are pics:

How did u get the stack injection under the hood with such an engine? I'm looking at stack EFI.
