Be very cautious with the Aluminum Manual Steering rack assembly, I had a serious problem with it : under the rubber on the passenger side, the part fixed on the middle was screwed on three fillets only. Hopely, it broke when I went down from my trailer. I checked the other side ( driver side ) and it was full screwed. Spend two tie-raps is nothing for safety.

Hi Neil,

I'm having trouble picturing the part you are talking about. Got any pics?

Glad you weren't moving too fast when it let go!

I will send some pictures next weekend ; I am not familiar with the process but my son, Olivier is and I will give me a hand for the picture. The steering rack assembly has a middle part where a left and a right arm covered with accordion rubber supposed to be full screwed on both sides. Mine was not well screwed on the right side. It was screwed only three turns instead of a minimum of 15 threads. Sorry for my poor English.
