Fenders and running boards

Is anybody running rear fenders with running boards, but then running motorcycle style front fenders... wondering if bending or narrowing the running boards as they come forward.... any pics are welcome....

surely somebody has done this.... and yeah I am calling you surely :)

If my garage was above 50F when ventilated I would have a mockup started that kinda does what your trying. I'm not running the bicycle fenders, but..., the taper from the rear fender toward the front of the door allows you to "crawl" out of the Kirkey seat and get your feet on the ground. So I also have a curve cut in the rear fender to narrow the running board the entire length. I may even cut 1/2" off the door bottom and move the running board up above the sill. I'm mocking it up with left over veneer paneling first. My guess is the FFR running boards will never get used now and I'll convert them to shelves...
Of course at the front I'm blending to the Plymouth fenders. If you raise the running boards up there is other potential benefits with frame attachment and the training wheels won't drag on hard corners with soft springs.:)

The space you are opening behind the front fenders would be the perfect spot for the twin snails or the intercoolers like they did on the ecotec 33 :)
A set of pipes coming out there would look pretty good too.

Erik, I played with some leftover veneer and the FFR running boards a little. For the bicycle fender you end up with a lot of "wedge" due to the pinch forward of the cowl and the wide FFR rear fender.

I have trimmed my rear fenders to follow the curve of the body and get rid of that lower corner which tends to bump things like curbs, trailer sides, and orange cones. Trimming 3" gets the running board closer to the body which is what I am going for. For the bicycle fender I keep going back to the Plymouth prowler solution. I'll post some other pic's on my build, but I'm configuring mine with Plymouth front fenders so it doesn't apply to the bicycles.
