Ordered a Mk 4 the end of Dec, will pickup shortly. Here's a question that's been on my mind.

The FFR front spindles https://factoryfiveparts.com/product.php?productid=16287&cat=255&page=1 look suspiciously like what one piece SN95 spindles would look like.

I'm building the car with a lot of autocross in mind, and the two piece spindles don't bother me at all. If there are any advantages in the front end geometry of the FFR spindles, that might be worth it to me. Has anyone looked at them side by side?

I have 94 Mustang GT spindles ready to go, I'm planning on taking them with me when I pick up the kit (for direct comparison).

Also it's my understanding that the SAI issues with the earlier kits have been largely taken care of in the Mk 4 - Am I correct on that?

Any input is appreciated,

Mike

Those are SN-95 spindles, same as your 94 gt's. The SAI issue's are resolved if you use the new two piece spindles. If you use the SN-95's you will still need the SAI kit.

Ok, on further examination, the FFR spindles *look* exactly like what I already have.

What new two piece spindles?

What new two piece spindles?

The ones that now come with the complete kit.

Now I get it - That answers my question. Thanks, Rod + Rich.

They do not seem to appear on the FFR online parts catalog? Heard about something new, got to looking for it in the parts / options, found only the spindles linked in my first post.

Additionally, I had heard "two piece" / "one piece" and was thinking about the ball joint adapter, hadn't figured on a bolt on steering arm...
