Hey there everyone.... I'm about to "restart" my 65 cobra build after years of being idle. Started in 2006! That right!!! Anyway, where I left off was setting up my emerg brake system. I have independent rear, Lincoln Continental disc all around, hydroboost, and a Richmond 6 spd (speedo off right side not left like Tremac). The speedo part is no problem, but getting the correct length cables, how they hook up to the calipers, and mostly how they clear the live axles are ALL contributing factors. The calipers are mounted to the rear side and even if I do hook up the really, really long cables to the handbrake.... I can't seem to get enough travel to engage the pads to rotors. Anyone come across this? Help?? Thanks art (I don't know if this is permitted but my e-mail is: 4nanart3@gmail.com)

Hey Art - good for you getting back to the build. I'm not sure if you got your question answered, but you might try re-posting in the main Roadster forum. This ended up the 'welcome and introductions' section, which some folks may not see as much.
I'm at the point of making sure the ebrake setup on my IRS complete kit build is going to work. There is a lot on both forums about how to modify or improve e brakes and cables and cable routing. Make sure you use the google search feature, followed by "site:thefactoryfiveforum.com" to search within the forum. Also you can do a search and then hit the 'image' tab in google to search through images. I'd suggest also looking at what Lokar has to offer in Summit Racing's catalog or your favorite supplier. If you need to adjust length of cable housings, you'll find a post from Jeff Kleiner here or on the other forum, and then you can use Lokar's cable end adjuster fittings to do what you need. Hope that helps.
Cheers,
