Hello to FF Forum!
I am new to the forum but have been reading your posts as a visitor for 3 years. My Mk4 was delivered on 2/6/15 and is just now in roadworthy condition. I have an appointment to begin the California registration process on January 2nd. I have found the forum to be really helpful in resolving a lot of common build questions such as the Wilwood ebrake clocking, ebrake handle, rear license plate clearance, tire size, dash vinyl, registration process, aftermarket vendors, etc. As I enter the finishing and tweaking stage I'm sure there will be many other questions.

The car: roadster#8521 complete kit, 351W carb, TKO500, IRS w/3.54, 17" FF Halibrands and Wilwoods all around. Needs body finishing and paint (traditional blue and white) but the red gel coat is kind of growing on me.

As an old retiree working in an unheated garage it has taken longer than hoped to get this far but I can see the finish line. I live in a little town named Cool, Ca. (yes that's its real name) and hopefully will find some other folks in the area with common auto interests. I have owned a Sunbeam Tiger since 1980 and will probably keep it as my winter car (there's just something nice about a roof and roll-up windows) but have had the Cobra on my bucket list for 20 years. I'll post a few pics when I figure out how to do that. Again thanks for all the help from many members of the forum who have posted their trials, tribulations and solutions as you have certainly smoothed the bumps in my build road. Maybe I can return the favor to other newbies.

I have friends in greenwood. What a fun run to Auburn you have! You are lucky sitting on one of the best cruzin roads in CA! Post if you can get down to Folsom to the cars and coffee.

Congratulations. I've been through Cool, CA and yes, you do have some great roads to drive. Enjoy that MK IV. Love to see photos.
