I haven't done the initial fit of the body yet but was wondering if it's a given that the front and rear turned down areas of the body need to be trimmed (where the dash meets and the rear area meets the panel behind the seats)? I am assuming you'd need to trial fit the body 1st? thanks

Test fit for sure. At a minimum your going to want to radius the edges. I had to trim about 1/16" off front and about 1/8" rear rolls. Remember that carpeting on the rear bulkhead will also interfere.

Test fit first ... if like my Mk 4 it will need some trimming and smoothing.
On the front you do not want the body to rub against the leather or vinyl of the dashboard not to mention making it easier to get the dash on and off the car once the body is mounted.
On the rear cockpit you need enough space for the carpet.
