Swapping the heads on my 89 mustang 302 , can I use the stock gaskets from the old heads, they are new

I could be wrong so verify this. The head gasket should fit, but I believe the thicknesses for e7 and gt40 gaskets are different. Obviously changing this thickness will change your compression

If the gaskets were installed and the head bolts torqued I trash them.
