Anyone have an accurate estimate of how big a truck or trailer a person would need to pickup an 818 kit from FFR directly? How much weight would you be hauling/trailering?

I don't have detail dimension. I was able to pick up 2 kits with a full size vans and an old boat trailer.
I would guess at 800 lbs for the body and frame and another 200-300 lbs. for all the boxes per kit.

I used a 6x12 uhaul open trailer without ramp (ramp model opening is narrower) and a had my f150 supercrew cab packed to the brim with boxes.
I used a 16' truck from Ryder. Factory Five recommended a minimum 7' wide door for loading. Call them and tell them what you have and they can tell you if it will fit.https://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipP6_L9qaBV1l7i3yx8h9XBZnBPP7fRzj1pR21zo12XN5u DIYNJcxE0X8TaC1kQETw/photo/AF1QipPZGtHkoYGQFzg81VaJRONU2zovG-kdhWjMhsWq?key=bjRmQ1dqSHJHcE5JeGVNaVl3S1FIcm9yRmp wOFVB

What is your travel plan (i.e. driving, flying) from your location? I found a $64 direct flight to Providence, RI and rented a 16' box truck at a shop right outside the airport ($6 Uber). Drove to FFR from there, was loaded by noon and then back to MD that same day.
The 16' enclosed truck was PLENTY of room for the kit and the associated boxes. The FFR crew was very nice and very helpful/knowledgable with loading.

6 ft. x 12 ft. trailer minimum. From my notes - 450 lbs for the 818 frame and body, car is about 10 ft. with nose removed, boxes are 300-400 lbs.
I borrowed a friend's SUV and rented a 6x12 open trailer from uhaul (~$35 per day). This is probably one of the cheaper ways to pick up the 818 but you have to drive to Mass and back.

Fml I rolled the dice and went through Boston 0700 figured it was early enough took 45min to travel a mile at one point. Humans should live like that.

Alpine - the details that I left out were: hit NYC at about 2:30 and the ol' phone app rerouted me through what seemed like the tiniest streets in the city and then I went across the GW in the lane that specifically restricts trucks. Then I hit the Philadelphia area around 5ish - all this on a Friday. Needless to say, my buddy and I had a nice long drive to chat and share stories

Years as a state trooper and deployment to Afghanistan in the army and one of the only things that gives me anxiety is city driving in rush hour. Country mouse for sure.
