View Full Version : Mk4 rear harness routing, new footbox sheet metal

My Mk4 is circa April 2016 with the revised DS footbox sheet metal. There is no predrilled hole in the footbox for routing the rear harness out and down toward the tunnel. I'm following the EdwardB power wiring approach with my 2015 Coyote, so I need to get the RF power feed wire into the footbox anyway.

Are people generally recreating the hole on the top edge of the lower sheet metal panel or is there a better/cleaner way to route these wires?

Thanks much.

That is how I did it. Worked fine for me.

Cool - thanks for the quick feedback, Scott! And nice win by Auburn the other day. Looking forward to the first game next year between UW and Auburn.

In reading through Jazzman's outstanding build thread, I found the exact picture I needed showing hole placement and size. Thanks Jazzman! Love your build thread. Also taught me that I could include engine sending unit wires through this port and cover the large hole in front of DS footbox.
