I decided to drill my roll bar holes and discovered that the passenger side was effed up. When I sent the body out for paint, I told them to glass in the right side holes and I'd drill them later. I thought about it for a while and then made these up:

It's a piece of 1.5" steel tubing with a stud plate welded on top and the stud sharped to a four-sided point, like a nail. The tip is just below the body. Once the body is on, just push up and twist and the point will penetrate the body. Then use the hole to pilot the holesaw. Here's the outboard side.

Let me tell you what I lucked up on. I just happened to have a smal LED flashlight that had a red pointer built in. It was just the right size to fit in a piece of foam pipe insulation inside the roll bar base. Turn it on and it projects a perfect spot on the body inside. Turn out the lights and you can see the red dot through the body! Invite Mr Sharpie to mark the spot and you are good to go.

There's always more than one way to skin a cobra. I had the stuff on hand so I just "MccGyver-ed it". If I had a light saber I could have used that instead.
