All,
Looking at ideas for headers for my MkIII build; engine is a 4.6L DOHC (stroked to 5.0L); are 5.0L Coyote headers compatible?
Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving! I'm also doing a 4.6 4v in my MkIV. I was lucky and got a pair on new old stock headers from a fellow who bought an uncompleted kit. Prior to that I had found this company who could do a custom set. www.stainlessheaders.com/cobraheaders. Other option, not nearly as sexy is to use stock manifolds reversed and have a custom J-pipe made from an exhaust shop.

The mounting flanges and stud footprint to the heads are the same then between the 4.6L DOHC and the Coyote?
JBM
I don't see how they could be the same. The block of the Coyote is a fraction of an inch longer, so the heads would need to accommodate that difference.

Do you guys NEED the J-pipe? Can't you use the FF 4.6 DOHC headers?

I’m looking for a header with the O2 sensor bung in the collector to use on the 4.6L DOHC.

The FF 4.6 header was discontinued. I was not able to find an ongoing provider of new mass produced 4.6 4v Headers for a Cobra, only custom headers. Stock exhaust manifolds with J-pipes would be the lowest cost options.oh

I understand. I just ended up welding the bung into the collector portion of the side pipe. I also did not know the FF 4.6 headers were no longer available.
