Should the tranny be dry? Fluid runs out of tail shaft when angled

Unless you are using a cap plug to prevent leakage then installing it dry is way less messy and you don't have to go back and top it off.

Slips through the rear tranny seal, and over the splined shaft, to prevent fluid leaking..

Should the clutch lever be able to be moved by hand? Ball housing is flush to block but I can move the lever? Could input shaft not be lined up with the pressure plate?

You should have free play, if not something is binding.

I mean, lever moves freely until the throw out bearing engages the clutch fingers, then I can't get the lever to move the fingers at all.

You're not going to be able to move the clutch arm/clutch fingers by hand once the TOB is engaged. Unless you're Charles Atlas...

Thanks, I was a little concerned! Today hasn't been too good, broke a pressure plate bolt, rear tranny seal was bad, thanks to the guy who "rebuilt it" and just found a small crack in the bell housing now! I knew that new was the way to go but....
