Wow what a difference. I wasn't 100% happy with the stock 11" GT brakes. They stopped ok but I felt like they were a litttle high on pedal pressure for my taste. Keep in mind I'm not against power brakes but they would be the same brakes just different pedal pressure. The Hawk plus solved all that. Not touchy like power brakes but boy they get it done. I'm not sure I would want a pad this effective with power brakes, that might get to be too sensitive. As tight as pedal boxes are that could make for a real suprise if you hit the brake by mistake.

I switched out my stock pads to Hawk HP plus after just go-karting. HUGE difference, good stuff. (No power brakes here either.)

Had my first legal street run on 7/4. Found the brakes to be poor, and a little scary. I am looking at going with the hawk pads. FFR says complete kit fronts are 2001-Mustang GT so I was looking at Hawk HPS for front #HB274F-610 and the rears is a 1995 Mustang Cobra -HP+ HB183N-585.
Have seen several threads stating that the vehicle needs rear biasing. So between the pads and balance bar adjustment, should get some real improvement.

Hawk pads are great. The HP Pluses are considered the beginning in the list of Hawk pads. If they're used for driving schools or auto cross, you find every bit of their braking help is needed. Its not overkill. On my Mustang I use the "Blues", which I love on both the street and track. Alot of brake dust with the Blues though.
Congrats on the great brakes.:D
