One of the cars I have in the shop right now has the plastic shifter that comes with the Mendy transaxle. Does anyone know if this normally comes with a shift knob? I don't see one here anywhere?

I don't know the answer to your question, but IIRC McMaster Carr has a selection of shift knobs that are reasonably priced. I have made my own more than once, and I seem to recall that you were selling a knob option for awhile?

Shane,
yes it should have come with one that has the shift pattern for the Mendy on it.

The shift knobs I sell are threaded for 1/2-20. The plastic Mendy shifter is threaded for 12mm-1.25.
This car has a shift knob with it, but it has the threads to fit the old rod linkage system....not the plastic cable shifter. I ended up drilling out the threads and tapping to fit the plastic shifter.
