What are you guys using for an engine wiring harness? I am doing an LS swap in my 72 C10 and was wondering. I have a harness and ecm from the motor, did you send it out for a trim or did you buy a stand alone or is F5 supplying the engine harness. Thanks

I used the donor harness and cleaned it up myself.

We have used the stock harness, modified by myself and/or another gentleman on the race team for the last few engines. The splices in the pink wires get a little annoying, but you should be able to use the stock harness if you just make sure to work carefully and double check all wire traces.

I’m going with an AEM Infinity Engine Management System with harness. Just because I like to make things difficult
On a serious note, this system will allow me to do all kinds of cool stuff from tuning on the fly, traction control, and engine monitoring/saftey kill shut down with loss of oil pressure or a slew of other customizable settings.

I didn't mess with the wiring harness, I ordered one from Speartech. They are familiar with the GTM and will make you an OEM quality harness that is ready to go. I just didn't want to get to the stage of firing up the motor and if I had issues start to have to trouble shoot a frankenstein harness. I ordered the complete kits which was the harness, MAF, ECM and throttle pedal. Its pricey but like so many things on this build you have to decide whats worth it to upgrade and whats not...... like custom fuel tanks, infinity box wiring, cable shifter, transaxle cooler etc.

I know this thread is a couple months old, but Speartech builds a fantastic harness. On a bit more budget friendly side, the BP Automotive harnesses work well too.
