Looking for the best ride height. Did a search and came up with some different numbers. It has power steering. Using the following for set up:

Castor 6-7 degrees
Camber - 0.5 degrees
Toe - 1/16 total toe in.

front ride height 4.5" ????
Rear ride height 5.5" ????

Thanks
Chuck

I am level about 4.25 and like the stance.
5.5 seems pretty high to me and I don't favor the forward lean with the rear being higher. That is all personal preference though. Get it set like you like it for any ground clearance you may need and how you like the stance of the car to look. After you get the height set it than do you castor/camber/toe.

I had found some post of around 4.5 front and rear. Thx

4" level front & rear with nothing hanging below the main chassis tubes. No contact with speed bumps when driven over them slowly.

At 3.75" would scrape on the taller ones.

I'm still playing with it, but right now I'm at 3.9 F, 4.25 R (bottom of 4" tubes), with my initial alignment at your specs (Caster 7, Camber -.5, Toe 1/16 in). Nothing has hit ground yet, even my massive neighborhood speed bumps (I have to creep over them though.)

You will find a new build settles a bit. I generally start about 4.75 in the back and about 4.5 in the front. Keep an eye on it. I find they settle a half inch or so in the first couple months of driving. Then will stabilize. I aim for final setting of 4 in the front and a bit more than that in the back.

I run lower than many at about 3.75" front and 4.25 rear.

8 degrees positive caster, 1.5 degrees negative camber and 3/32" toe in.

Jeff

Experimenting with 4” and 4.5” ride height. To facilitate the process I crafted some hi-tech feeler gauges to slip between the ground and frame.

I set mine to 4" front, and 4.5" rear. I used one of these to check the height:

Remember that once you adjust the coil overs, roll the car a bit before measuring.

At the build school they just use 2x4's.

I used to be at 2" and raised it to 2.75" and haven't had any problems with speed bumps etc. It was 2" as a dedicated race car. 2.75" has been fine on the street for me. That said I live in an area of New England with decent roads and the only speed bumps I tackle are at my kids school and they are pretty small. YMMV.

I run level at 3.75" all around. I had rake in it originally. When I started autocrossing, I took that out and noticed better traction in the rear.

Since the ride height settles after a while, is it recommended to get it realigned afterwards?

Just set the ride back to where it was when it was aligned and like magic the alignment will be the same! ;)

Doesn't it make a difference with the tire and rim combination used? I'm using 15" 295 & 235 Cooper Cobras.
