Using the F5 ignition switch. Has 2 flats on it for anti rotation, but I have a round hole. Tightened it down as tight as I dare, already pulling at and stretching the leather. Suspect there's a tang washer out there with the 2 flats in it, but I dont have / haven't found / never seen one.

Did some searching, but all the posts are from like 7 years ago.

Cant add metal behind the dash to make the flats, already almost too deep.

Short of JBWeld... any ideas? Know where I can buy that special tang washer? I'll even replace the switch if needed... they aren't that expensive.

Thanks.

How about a tooth lock washer. McMaster sells them in all sizes ( internal, external, or both )

Ah, sometimes the simplest answer is right there... Thanks.

You can get the nut a little tighter by doing the final 1/2 turn w/ the switch rather than the nut. I find I can position the switch so I get the nut as tight as possible, and then hold the nut and turn the switch.
