View Full Version : Grill mounts on upper control arms
The manual says to put the upper control arm bolts through grill mounts with logo facing forward. What are grill mounts? No picture and grill mounts are not in the parts list.

I’m not sure. I cant find any such item in the parts list. Is it something I could easily install later when I figure out what and where mine is or should I stop installing the front end?
Thanks

You can install later if need be. Just loosen the control arm bolts, slide the grill mounts in (they are open end slotted) and tighten back up.

It should be noted. They do not look like the manual shows them to look.
You can see mine really well in this photo so you know what you’re looking for.

The upper headlight mounting holes didn't exist on the early builds - that older style is what you see in the manual. The headlights would hit the fenders if mounted on those brackets so FFR redesigned them with two holes so the headlights would clear the fenders in the upper holes. The full fender package wasn't designed when the early kits were built so the problem didn't show up until later when the fender kits started to ship.

The ones in the manual also show the mounting holes where it goes on the a arm bolt to be holes and not slots.
